Acai bowls are a bit of a summer staple, but of course, I don’t want to be downing 40-90 grams of sugar per bowl (yep that’s how much the store bought ones have!!) so I have made a sugar free one! Sweetened with cinnamon, vanilla, maca and coconut. If you want it sweeter then add some frozen berries, stevia or rice malt syrup.

I love this bowl for during my menstrual phase as the acai is cleansing for the kidneys and it is full of energy sustaining fats and the cinnamon is a great blood sugar level balancer. The sunflower and pumpkin seeds are also an excellent source of zinc which is vital for a healthy cycle.

  • 200g steamed then frozen cauliflower
  • 1 frozen packet of unsweetened acai
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 2 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp slippery elm powder
  • 1 Tbsp coconut butter
  • 1 Tbsp flax seeds
  • 400 ml water
  • 1/4 avo
  • 3 Tbsp coconut natural yoghurt
  • 1 tsp Glow Inner Beauty Powder
  • Toppings: activated sunflower seeds, activated pepitas, coconut chips, activated pecans
  1. Combine everything in a high powered food processor and process until very thick and creamy. (I use a Vitamix because it works really well for smoothie bowls). Pour into a bowl.
  2. Then add the toppings and enjoy
